Here is my list for the week. It will be separated by room.

Living Room

Vacuum
Clear off computer desk
Declutter cupboard in computer desk
Clean off the shelf in the closet
Clean floor in closet
Move furniture around to see if I like it better I like it much better!

Kitchen

Do up dishes
Clean countertops including under all appliances
Clean out microwave
Wipe down stove
Clean out cupboards
Clean off tops of cupboards
Clean off the fridge
Clean out the fridge & freezer
Clean out mail holder
Clear off the table
Reorganize pantry and wipe down shelves
Clean up shoes

Bathroom

Clean bathtub and surround
Reorganize medicine cabinet & cabinet behind toilet
Clean toilet
Clean sink
Wipe mirror

Ava’s Room

Change sheets
Reorganize clothing
Put diapers away
Clean out her closet

My Bedroom

Pick up all the laundry
Put all the books on the shelf
Clean off the top of the dresser
Go through all the clothes and get rid of what we don’t use
Clean out the closet, put stuff in storage
Change sheet

Tiernan’s Room

Clean up toys
Change sheet
Wash blankets
Go through clothing
Clean the carpet

Random

Wash all the laundry
Vacuum the entire house
Mop all the floors
Move T’s room back upstairs & sewing room to the basement
Finish tracing the kids shirt patterns
Finish sewing Ava’s nightgown

I didn`t end up doing the 30 day challenge. A lot of stuff happened and I ended up getting too busy but since Conal is away on a trip until sunday evening I am going to clean and declutter as much as I can. It`s a lot easier to do when he isn`t around. Which is kind of odd, I guess. Anyways I am going to post a list once I get it all typed up of all the things I need to get done.

Doing a 30 day challenge: Decluttering/Deep Cleaning

So on DSD a bunch of the ladies are doing a 30 day challenge to fit their own needs and I am doing decluttering and deep cleaning. I have such a messy house all the time and it’s hard to keep it clean because there is always stuff everywhere. I need some serious organization and crap elimination. So this is my challenge and it starts today. I need to go around and take before pictures of every room. I’m a bit scared.

I tested my new cupcake liners. They are the silicone ones. My mom got them for me and I love them! They rock. Makes the cupcakes less crumbly when you try to eat it. No peeling off papers and making waste. The cupcakes just pop right out of these. No mess. Yay!

I didn’t realize I hadn’t posted in almost a month. I got sidetracked. I’ve been busy working and in my free time I’ve been on my forums and reading my twilight books and repeatedly watching the movie. It’s addicting and I can’t help it. Sad. I know. Anywho, Conal left yesterday to go to Calgary to a Nickelback concert. He’s supposed to be back on Sunday so I can work so hopefully no disgusting weather pops up before then.

I’ve decided I need to do a deep clean of the house while he is gone again. It’s just so hard to keep up with his messiness. I mean he attempts to help clean up but it never really works. He usually just makes it worse or drives me nuts. So there is a lot I want to get done this weekend. I just realized my last post was a to-do list as well. Oops.

Living Room

Sort through the toy box
Clean up the closet
Wipe down the walls
Rearrange the movies AGAIN! Thanks to Ava
Clean out coffee table cubby
Spot clean the couch
Spot clean the carpet
Vacuum
Clean out cubby in computer desk

Kitchen

Reorganize the pantry again

Ava’s Room

Sewing Room

Hang poster back up/find push pins since my tape didn’t hold
Clean up sewing stuff

Possibly move a few things around for better organization ?
Take down the stuffed animal hammock and move it to Tiernan’s room
Take down star light and put it in Tiernan’s room
Swap switch plates

Miscellaneous things to do

Put away shoes that don’t fit the kids and reorganize shoe rack
Clean out the coat rack and get rid of old stuff
Wipe the old computer and install XP for Conal.
Set up old computer at desk in the closet for Conal
Clean windows and mirrors in every room
Make a chart system for the kids
Change all the burnt out lightbulbs
Do my Wii Fit for 30 minutes every day
Wash all the laundry including diapers
Mix up a new batch of laundry soap
Mix up a new batch of all purpose cleaner

Sewing To Do

Sew up a plastic bag holder
Trace & cut out diapers patterns on poster board – hoping I have enough for each size of all my patterns
Finish Conal’s camo tank as a surprise

Figure out & hopefully cut out what I’m making Jason for his birthday
Sew up as much as my UFOs as possible
Finish my mom’s Christmas/Birthday gift. (Very late I know)

Ok. That’s really long and I know I forgot some stuff so I will come back and add more if I remember them. I hope I can get it all done in 4 days. I should’ve started yesterday.

Weekend To Do List

I need to do a major cleaning today and tomorrow. I have been really slacking on keeping up with the housework lately for many reasons and I’d like to be able to catch up and get ahead of myself. Conal is out of town today and tomorrow and hopefully I won’t have to work so I’d like to surprise him with an amazingly clean house. I always did really well while Conal was gone in the fall but he is such a mess maker that it’s hard to keep up. He is definitely one of those people that uses every dish in the house and doesn’t reuse or wash something so he can use it again. Anyways here is my list. I may take before and afters if my battery is not dead and if I actually remember while I’m doing it.

Upstairs

Tidy up sewing room
Vacuum sewing room
Put all the dirty laundry in the hampers
Clean up my bedroom
Vacuum bedroom
Tidy up Ava’s room
Clean out Ava’s clothes
Tidy up Ava’s closet & separate old clothes
Vacuum Ava’s room
Clean bathroom top to bottom
Clean bathroom floor

Living Room

Pick up toys

Kitchen

Okay I think that’s it. A lot but I think I can manage to get most, if not all of it done. I just need to give myself a kick in the butt.

I hate working. It makes me miserable. I’ve only had this job for a little over a month. I have to clean up people’s disgusting messes and I’m not sure I like it. Being a janitor sucks. I think I hate it this week so much because I haven’t been getting very good sleep this week and so I’m feeling tired all the time and have no energy to work.

There isn’t much else to tell at the moment. I have been wanting to sew but haven’t due to lack of cooperation from Conal and lack of energy. So hopefully soon I will have something to show.

Nothing

Today was supposed to be a productive day for me but it is now 4:08 PM and I have done absolutely nothing. I got up with the littles this morning and was exhausted so I had a shower before they woke up to help clear my head of this sinus infection. I made coffee and relaxed on the computer while the kids ate breakfast. Afterwards I dried my hair and then spent some time with Ava, while Tiernan played with his rocket toy downstairs. Conal got paged to go to a fire at 10:30 AM and since he was sleeping, he got up quickly and left saying that he would actually be going to a fire today. (He’s a volunteer firefighter just starting his training so they haven’t had much real experience yet.) Well he’s been gone since then and hasn’t returned. I started to get concerned so I called all the people I knew, thinking that maybe he went somewhere after the call out was finished but no one had seen him. He’s still gone by the way. I talked to his mom last and she said since the fire was at the landfill that it was very likely that he was still there doing clean up and what not. She said if anything were wrong they would’ve called us by now to let us know. So here I am sitting here really hoping he’s okay and wondering what he’s doing.

I wanted to spend a good part of my day sewing up some new patterns I got to make the kids some new clothes for the summer. But since I’ve wasted any free time I had while Ava was napping, that will not be happening now until after both kids head for bed tonight, unless Conal returns home fairly soon. But I’m guessing he will be pretty exhausted and not want to do anything but relax. I’m so lazy today that I didn’t even do my workout. It’s not necessary that I get anything done today because nothing NEEDS to be done.

I’ve been thinking about baking something for the last hour but haven’t found anything that is peaking my interest at the moment. I just want to lay down and have a sleep. Tomorrow I will be sleeping in and letting Conal get up with the kids. I need to get more rest so I can clear out the rest of this infection in my sinuses. It’s driving me bonkers.

I guess sticking with my blog originally didn’t last but I’m hoping that it will this time. Only time will tell. I wish I could edit my page without having to upgrade.
